Eric Helmuth
is a composer of choral concert and church music, with over 20 published works. His commissioned works have premiered in such venues as New York's Carnegie Hall and Symphony Hall, Boston, and several of his works have been commercially recorded.

Eric graduated from Cedarville College in 1987 with a degree in piano and organ performance, and received an M.A. in psychology from the University of Akron. He has coached with composer David Conte, and studied counterpoint under John Goodman at the Boston University College of Fine Arts.

Church musician
Eric is also active as a supply (substitute) organist, pianist and choir director in the Boston, Massachusetts area. He has particular experience with Protestant liturgically-based services such as those in Episcopal or Lutheran churches, but can bring a flexible style to his church work, thanks to his formative years playing piano in Baptist churches.

Internet communications
The worlds of music and Internet technology converge for Eric not only on this website, but in his role as board member and webmaster for The Chamber Orchestra of Boston. Eric also has a full-time career in Internet publishing for nonprofit organizations, currently serving as Director of Internet Communications at Join Together and working as a nonprofit Internet strategy consultant.

An Ohio native born in 1965, Eric has lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area since 1996, and currently lives in Arlington, Masschuetts with his partner, Jordan.
